Whilst I have been focused on the outside – the Slug-Hunter has been busy with the indoors.
We now have a habitable house, and plenty of house-plants.
Taking inspiration from my brother and his pretty awesome cacti collection – the Slug-hunter has made some cute decorations with his cacti and succulents.
First off was this beast, an African Milk Tree (Euphorbia trigona) who sparked the love of the spikeys.
The came the cacti boat – please note the lay-out here. I appear to be dating a cacti-loving man-child.
He attempted to plant them closer together but I was having none of it!
And then came the mini-terrarium; we are hoping that the side opening will allow a bit of air movement for out little cactus friend.
And finally, the Pièce de résistance is the little succulent fish bowls, can’t beat a Sunday Carboot to find cheap glassware!
Add a little aquarium sand and the jobs a good’un.
With a fern, coelus, plenty of spider plants and the peace lily given to us by my mum, and we’ve got a nice green living room.
Happy planting.
